Censum does not offer refunds for delivered evidence packets or Long-Shot snapshots. Once delivered, packet and snapshot fees are final because the analysis can be read, copied, downloaded, and used immediately. Billing errors, duplicate charges, failed delivery, wrong-product routing, or materially broken files should be sent to support for correction. Every paid packet tier also includes a next-year credit equal to the packet fee if the Board grants no reduction after timely filing. Long-Shot does not include the next-year credit. The no-risk Success Plan is different: no packet fee is charged upfront, so no-reduction cases do not create a credit; the flat $149 Success Plan amount, plus any selected optional add-ons, is charged only after a verified qualifying reduction.

Is an attorney included?
Not in the standard Concierge lane. Concierge is CCAO workflow support by Censum as an authorized representative after the official CCAO authorization form is signed. If your property or appeal needs legal representation, we can route you to outside Illinois counsel separately.
Is this actually allowed?
For CCAO, yes, when the official authorization form is signed and filed with the appeal. CCAO rules allow authorized agents and require practitioners to use SmartFile. Board of Review filing is separate.
Will you help me understand the BOR process?
Yes. Concierge includes a BOR self-file companion with the official portal sequence, evidence checklist, hearing guidance, common stuck points, and links to BOR rules and deadlines. Censum does not file the BOR appeal for you.
What if my case gets contested or advances to PTAB?
Those are separate legal lanes. If your case escalates, you can hire outside counsel, continue on your own where allowed, or stop. Censum does not auto-bill or lock you into a lawyer.
Can I stay inside Censum?
Yes for the Censum side of the workflow: packet, authorization upload, evidence, receipt tracking, and status stay in the cockpit. SmartFile itself is a secure county system used by Censum for the filing.
What does Concierge cover?
The $29 Concierge fee covers CCAO workflow support: packet staging, authorization collection, human filing review, SmartFile submission, deadline reminders, confirmation tracking, and status organization.
Can I still do it without Concierge?
Absolutely. Every Censum tier ships with a filing-ready packet and instructions. Concierge adds CCAO workflow support and keeps the process organized.
Do you send reminders?
Censum sends reminders only if you opt into township alerts or purchase Concierge. Otherwise, you are responsible for tracking and meeting deadlines.
